Today's offering showcases this prime example of an uncommon tonneau Constellation. It is fully Omega and presents in gorgeous condition. It presents as about a 9.7 or 9.8 out of 10.
Tonneau Constellations are one of the few that have a more rectangular dress watch appearance.
Powering the watch is Omega's officially certified chronometer caliber 712 movement, the thinnest automatic chronometer movement ever made by the company.
The 700 series has a direct lineage to the celebrated 500 series, and is arguably as good, and collectors are beginning to recognize it accordingly. It was the last very fine movement series of its kind before Omega began to make budget cuts because of the quartz revolution.
The case is mint. The dial is original or an absolute perfect restoration.
The movement has been freshly fully overhauled by a Master Watchmaker - it is running very true. For the finishing touch we have installed a new band making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
A four and a half decade old Omega that looks like new!
